dancing with physics
In my experience when putting on the “physics filter”, while moving and dancing, a sort of different encounter with the materiality of the body happens. The body becomes an experimental field for testing and channeling kinetic forces, the distribution of masses create new felt dimensions and moving can feel like calmly soaring with a flock of birds or a fun ride on a rollercoaster. I pose the question and also propose the experience: may the “reduction” to laws of physics allow for a momentary de-coupling of the emotional body or individual history to become “purely” engaged with forces applying on our bodies as material in relation to earth.
